When we think of Network Marketing, most tend to think of MLM, multi level marketing.  This MLM model has a pyramid form of many levels and very small residuals that are earned on huge down line volumes.  However, the infamous MLM “Pyramid” structure is not the only business model of network marketing.  There is also the “direct sales” network marketing model which has huge upfront commissions and a breakaway residual after 2 to 5 tiers on average.  The difference is in the upfront commissions and long term growing residuals.
Selling business customers a product service is different than consumer sales.  Buyer qualifications can be challenging.  You will need a value based product with unique features and benefits.  Selling to businesses tend to have higher profitable margins depending on the product or service.  From idea and creation is important.  Also market testing before implementation will be needed to save time and maximize profitability and costs of start-up.
Selling consumers a product or service that has value and they would find a want or need for.  Unique selling proposition would also need to be created to entice the customer over a competitor’s product or service.  Ideas, product creation, and implementation is needed to start a consumer direct sales product or service.
